Water Heater Installation in Jacksonville
At a Jacksonville home, we replaced the water heater with a new electric tank unit and installed a Safety Zone water softener with a carbon filter for city water. Both units are in the garage.
The problem
The homeowner needed the old water heater replaced and wanted a water softener with a carbon filter for their city water. Both units go in the garage.
What we did
We removed the old water heater and hauled it away. We set a new electric tank water heater on a drain pan and installed new shut-off valves, an expansion tank, supply lines and a relief line.
Next, we installed a Safety Zone water softener combo with a carbon filter, built for city water. We connected it to the home’s existing water supply and added shut-off valves, a bypass valve, the drain line and the fittings needed for a complete hookup. The work followed the manufacturer’s specifications and the plumbing code.
The result
The new water heater is installed with its expansion tank and new valves. We programmed the softener, tested it and put it into service. We also showed the homeowner how to load salt, how the control settings work and what routine maintenance the system needs.
